Bluekey seeks ICT partners to boost African ERP market

Africa’s premier SAP Business One Partner launches partner program to extend reach of SAP Business One in Africa

Bluekey-Partner-logo-goldWith the estimated size of the small and medium enterprise (SME) market in Africa ranging from 80% [1] to 95% [2], companies in this space are in the spotlight as the source of the economic future of the continent. But, to scale efficiently and effectively, while simultaneously boosting productivity, SMEs need the right ICT support to cope with the challenges of a rapidly growing business.

To fill this gap by expanding access to SAP Business One, enterprise software built from the ground up to support SMEs, Bluekey Software Solutions launched an African partner program to enable service providers to offer the ERP software to their customers. Launched at the beginning of 2016, the program initially the targets service providers in East Africa. A series of roadshows is underway to launch the partner network in this region, with further roadshows in SADC set for April.

Bluekey is the leading reseller of SAP Business One in Africa, providing the software to 4,600 licence holders, spanning 300 sites in 19 countries. It has six offices in Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Tanzania, as well as customer support centres in Johannesburg and Nairobi.

The Bluekey partner program is ideal for companies already providing services to the SME market, including: business consultants, accountants, IT businesses, hosted service providers and ICT influencers. The program is an opportunity for these companies to extend their revenue streams, better support their existing client base, and attract new customers.

There is zero financial investment to join, and partners can choose their level of involvement, from earning a simple referral fee, to becoming a fully-fledged software reseller and systems implementer.

Bluekey assists its partners from sales and marketing through to the technical skills needed for pre-sales, implementation and customer training. Partners and their customers also have direct access to ongoing dedicated technical support from Bluekey’s support centres.

SAP Business One has been built from the get-go for the SME market, making it nimble and affordable. The design gives SMEs the ability to implement what they need today, and to grow with the software as their business expands. SAP Business One can be deployed either on-premise or in the cloud. Industry solution extensions customise the software for the specific requirements of the retail, production, projects, fashion, transport and logistics, oil and gas, and agri-business verticals. For instance, retailers get access to the system via online shopping, smartphones and point-of-sale devices, and the service supports M-Pesa integration.

“There is no doubt that SMEs are the future of the African economy,” said Santone Lange, Bluekey partner manager. “No business can thrive in the digital future without the right IT services giving it the ability to have real-time access to meaningful, accurate data. With the right partners we can join the dots between African SMEs and SAP Business One, empowering economic growth across the continent.”
